So, you've surely heard of hybrid flowers. Pink, black, blue, purple, orange...even gold! There's all sorts of pretty ones! But how do you get them? Well, it's simple really, it just takes a lot of flowers and a lot of time! : )
So I'll start with the basics. Hybrid flowers are made from a combination of two other flowers. For example, a red rose next to a white rose may produce a pink rose! Of course, hybrids don't just appear because you have two flowers. They may take weeks to grow! You just have to keep your flowers alive and keep watching every day. Sometimes, flowers may even create more of the same flower. For example, two red roses next to each other can produce another red rose, or a black rose.
There are plenty of ways to arrange flowers to produce hybrids. In my opinion, and through a bit of research, diagonal designs work the best. You can also arrange them in pairs and lines, although I feel this wastes a few spaces that hybrids may appear. I'll post pictures below so you can decide how you want to arrange your flowers! (Photos are coming later this evening or tomorrow)
Now to the actual pairs that produce hybrids. Just put the two flowers together to get the result!
Flower + Flower = Result
Roses
Red Rose + Yellow Rose = Orange Rose
Red Rose + White Rose = Pink Rose
White Rose + White Rose = Purple Rose (image coming soon)
Red Rose + Red Rose = Black Rose
Black Rose + Purple Rose = Blue Rose
To get a Gold Rose, water a withered Black Rose with a Golden Watering Can. It will be gold the next day.
Tulips
Red Tulip + White Tulip = Pink Tulip
Red Tulip + Yellow Tulip = Purple Tulip
Red Tulip + Red Tulip = Black Tulip
Yellow Tulip + Yellow Tulip = Black Tulip
Cosmos
Red Cosmos + White Cosmos = Pink Cosmos
Red Cosmos + Yellow Cosmos = Orange Cosmos
Red Cosmos + Red Cosmos = Black Cosmos (image coming soon)
Pansies
White Pansy + White Pansy = Blue Pansy
Red Pansy + Yellow Pansy = Orange Pansy
Red Pansy + Red Pansy = Purple Pansy (image coming soon)
It is believed that jacobs ladders will increase the chances of getting a hybrid!
If any of the information I typed is wrong, please tell me in a comment so I can fix it. I'm adding my own images from my game to help you tell what everything looks like. : )
